I see the world as it is,
And wounder how it came to be,
That what we've become,
Sprouted from what we were.
In times past, a child's laughter,
Brought joy to ones heart.
While today it goes unnoticed,
Tomorrow may fall apart.
A mans word,
Once bound by his honor.
Meaning nothing to an ear,
Without substance to ponder.
The name of God,
Once reverenced by man.
Becomes an offence,
Only to be damned.
What we've become,
Sprouted from what we were.
But where we are,
Shames where we've been.

The Birth
It was a world with no Son,
Cold and dark.
How is it, that I'm so lost?
Lost in a world so alone,
Yet there are so many to shone.
Like a child in the mouth of a beast,
So helpless, so afraid.
No way out,
Maybe I should just fade.
I want to be free,
But with so much night,
And so little fought,
How can it be?
What's this? Life,
Hope and peace.
I think I see the light.
A hand, I'm free.
Like a spring shower,
Suddenly it comes,
Suddenly it goes.
The fight is fought,
The battle is won.
I am free,
Because of the Son.
Finally I'm above,
Only joy, only Love.
The peace of mind,
The past behind.
Cold and dark.
How is it, that I'm so lost?
Lost in a world so alone,
Yet there are so many to shone.
Like a child in the mouth of a beast,
So helpless, so afraid.
No way out,
Maybe I should just fade.
I want to be free,
But with so much night,
And so little fought,
How can it be?
What's this? Life,
Hope and peace.
I think I see the light.
A hand, I'm free.
Like a spring shower,
Suddenly it comes,
Suddenly it goes.
The fight is fought,
The battle is won.
I am free,
Because of the Son.
Finally I'm above,
Only joy, only Love.
The peace of mind,
The past behind.
